To re- mount kitchen faucet cartridge replacement, you only have to follow the reverse order. Pull stem before inserting cartridge. You may have to rotate cartridge slightly to align well. Use plastic key or the tips of the needle-nose pliers to twist cartridge. Brass clip slides into slots of the valve to hold the cartridge in place.

Look for the small notch at the top of the stem and turn the pin until the notch is facing up. Place the remaining pieces and put back the handle. Then check the faucet. If the hot and cold water are reversed, you would simply remove the handle and adapter handle and tighten the pin 180 degrees.
